Who We Are

My name is Hea-Yeon Lee, founder of Mara Nanotech and SciTech Edu Foundation (IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit).

For years, we have been working to bring hands-on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) education to underserved communities. Our mission is simple: give every underserved youth the chance to hold science in their own hands.

 

 

Why This Matters

In many underserved neighborhoods, science exists only in textbooks. Students rarely get the chance to perform real experiments.

But when a child receives a STEM kit—when they pick up lab tools for the very first time—their eyes light up with curiosity and excitement.

That means raising $1,050,000 ($35 × 30,000) to deliver kits and mentoring programs across the U.S., then expanding into Latin America and Africa where educational opportunities are limited.
