마라나노텍·사이텍 에듀 재단, 데모크라시 프렙 할렘 고교와 STEM 교재 기증 약정 체결 Mara NanoTech and SciTech Edu Foundation Donate STEM Learning Materials

이번주 월요일(10/06) 데모크라시 프렙 할렘 고등학교에서 STEM 실습용 교재 ‘기증 약정’ 체결식을 진행했습니다.

SciTech Edu Foundation × Mara Nanotech이 매칭 기부로 향후 12개월 내 교재를 단계적으로 공급하며, 완료 시 약 300명 학생의 실습 중심 수업을 지원할 예정입니다.

 

이번 모금은 By Design J 대표를 시작으로 경남여고 동창회, KAMDA(재미한인의료산업협회), CSK Charitable 재단, 재미여성과학회 NY/NJ, KOWIN(세계한민족여성네트워크 뉴욕지부), 신석호 회계법인, 뉴욕한인회 권태형부회장 등 한인 커뮤니티의 참여로 두 달 만에 목표를 달성했습니다. 또한 CJ United USA Corp 제이 김 대표의 담요 후원도 함께했습니다.

6월 Hands-on STEM 워크숍의 큰 호응이 계기가 되었고, 학교는 집행 내역과 성과를 투명하게 공개할 예정입니다. 학생들이 직접 설계–실험–분석하는 수업이 뉴욕 지역에서 더 넓어지길 기대합니다!

 

사이텍 에듀 재단: “교육 자원이 부족한 학생들을 포함한 지역 학생들의 첨단 기술 접근성을 높이기 위해 협력을 확대하겠다.”

 

마라 나노텍: “K-Science 모델을 통해 지속 가능한 교육 임팩트를 만들고, 매칭 기부 모델을 확산해 더 많은 학교에 실습 환경을 제공하겠다.”

 

We held a Hands-on STEM kit donation commitment ceremony at Democracy Prep Harlem High School on Monday (10/06).

 

Through a matching program by SciTech Edu Foundation × Mara Nanotech, kits will be delivered over the next 12 months, enabling ~300 students to participate in lab-based STEM classes.

This effort reached its goal in just two months thanks to the Korean community: By Design (J), Gyeongnam Girls’ High School Alumni Association, KAMDA(Korean American Medical Devices Association), CSK Charitable Foundation, KWiSE NY/NJ, KOWIN(Korean Women’s International Network, New York Chapter), Shin Seok-Ho CPA, the Korean American Association of New York (Vice President Taehyung Kwon), and many individual donors. We also appreciate a blanket donation from Jay Kim, CEO of CJ United USA Corp.

 

June’s Hands-on STEM Workshop—with strong student engagement—sparked this commitment. The school will share transparent updates on implementation and outcomes. We look forward to expanding opportunities for students to design–experiment–analyze in NYC.
